Masan gets nod to build $150mln food processing plant in Hau Giang province
Vietnamese private conglomerate has got approval from Hau Giang province People’s Committee to build a food industry center in Song Hau Industrial Park.
Under phase 1 of the project, Masan aims to build a center for the production and distribution of high-value food, cosmetic, and beverage products in Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province.
The plant to be built with an area of about 46 hectares will produce cooked pasta and flat noodles. It was designed to have a production capacity of 80,000 tons/year. Its starchy foods will have a capacity of 27,200 tons per year.
The new factory will produce seasonings for noodles, vermicelli, herbs, and condiments with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year.
The project has a total investment capital of $150 million USD, the investor's contributed capital is $45 million, and the mobilized capital is $105 million. The project's operation term is 50 years from the date the investor is decided to lease the land.
Regarding the implementation progress, the project is basically built and put into operation from 2022 - 2029.
