Masan's subsidiaries rank in the top 10 most prestigious enterprises in 2021

    A series of subsidiaries under Masan Group are ranked in the list of Top 10 Prestigious Food & Beverage (F&B) Companies and Retailers in 2021 released by Vietnam Report.

    Companies were evaluated and ranked based on three main criteria: financial capabilities, credibility to media, and research subjects that relevant stakeholders like consumers and experts conducted in August and September. Masan's member companies have been consecutively honoured in the ranking for the past few years.

    Masan Consumer takes the lead among the top 10 most prestigious food companies in 2021 in packaged food, seasonings, and vegetable oil. To reap the achievement, Masan Consumer followed its mission of putting consumers at the centre. The company has developed strong brands, such as Omachi, Kokomi, CHIN-SU, Nam Ngu, Tam Thai Tu, Vinh Hao, Cowboy Pork sausage, Ponnie sausage, Wake-up energy drink, Compact, Vinacafe Bien Hoa, Quang Hanh, Lemona, Red Ruby beer, and White Lion beer brand.

    Masan Consumer is also one of the top 3 manufacturers with the most chosen brands for eight consecutive years according to the Brand Footprint 2020 report by Kantar Worldpanel.

    Masan Consumer boasts a pool of talented research and development personnel, who work closely with its marketing team to develop new products and serve the demand of Vietnamese consumers. Every year, Masan Consumer rolls out new initiatives for all of its product categories. In particular, in the convenient food segment, CHIN-SU FOODS has just released seven new products to satisfy the taste buds of consumers.

    Besides this, Masan Consumer also scooped up the first place among the on list of the top 10 F&B companies with most media coverage.

    Another company, WinCommerce is also among the 10 prestigious retailers in 2021. After merging with Masan, WinCommerce has restructured the retail system to improve operational efficiency. WinCommerce has have gained success thanks to optimising its product portfolio, increasing the proportion of fresh products, and applying attractive sales policies, as well as adjusting WinMart+'s operating model with a new layout.

    After the acquisition of Mobicast to enter the telecommunications field, Masan has opened CVLife multi-experience stores to integrate more services. At these stores, customers can buy necessities at WinMart+, make financial transactions at Techcombank, buy medicine and functional foods at Phano, and enjoy famous Phuc Long tea and coffee, as well as use Mobicast’s digital services.

    CVLife is the first and only store model in Vietnam to date that integrates a variety of services to meet consumers' demand. Currently, both CVLife stores are open in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. At the end of October, another CVLife store will be opened in Hanoi.

    Beside restructuring the system, the retailer also implements a series of improvements to bring convenience to consumers. WinCommerce has made great efforts to overcome many challenges to timely and fully supply necessities at stable prices to people nationwide. WinCommerce is the largest retail chain in the country with nearly 2,500 WinMart/WinMart+ stores and supermarkets.

    Meanwhile, Masan MEATLife is among the 10 most prestigious food enterprises in 2021 in the fresh and frozen food industry. Masan MEATLife was established with the goal of transforming the animal protein market in Vietnam through building a branded integrated meat value chain.

    Masan MEATLife started in the meat supply chain by merging the two leading feed companies in Vietnam, ANCO and Proconco in 2015. The company has completed the chain with the launch of its MEATDeli chilled meat brand. This is the first chilled, branded meat in Vietnam produced by state-of-the-art European processing technology.

    After nearly three years, MEATDeli has established a distribution system of more than 2,700 points of sale in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the surrounding areas. At the same time, MEATDeli continues to gain an edge in distribution after being sold in Masan's retail chain with nearly 2,500 WinMart/WinMart+supermarkets and stores.

    In addition, Masan Consumer, Masan MEATLife, and WinCommerce, and the two affiliated companies of Masan Group, Vinacafe Bien Hoa and Phuc Long, were also honoured in the top 10 most prestigious beverage enterprises 2021 in the group of non-alcoholic beverages.

    On September 15, VinCommerce officially changed its name to WinCommerce. In the near future,the entire supermarket chain and VinMart/VinMart+ stores will be renamed to WinMart/WinMart+.
