Joins Pro Professional Laundry Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Masan Group, opened its first shop in HCM City’s Binh Thanh District, marking a milestone in its parent’s goal of becoming the leading laundry chain in Viet Nam.
It offers services ranging from basic (washing and drying, and washing and ironing) to higher (dry cleaning, expensive cloth cleaning, bleaching, and fabric softening), along with home pickup and delivery.
It said it uses European machinery to optimise energy usage and fabric protection, and environment-friendly Joins detergents.
It uses wet cleaning machines in place of the traditional dry laundry.
Tran Thi Thanh Van of Joins Pro laundry said: "With the positive signals from the market and an increasing demand from people, we believe that this is the perfect time to enter the laundry service market that does not yet have a dominated brand.
“Joins Pro has the advantage of large resources. The shop is equipped with machines using advanced technology from Europe that can handle up to three tonnes of clothes a day. Joins Pro aims to popularise the habit of using professional laundry services, and become the leading professional laundry chain in Viet Nam.”
The laundry market is estimated to be worth VND4.8 billion a year, but is growing at 6 per cent compared to the average of 3.6 per cent in Asia.
The country has 15,316 laundry stores, more than 60 per cent of them opened in the last three years.
But more than 96 per cent are small and run by households with only basic services.
Masan Group's vision is to develop a Point of Life platform that serves all the essential needs of consumers on a single platform, and Joins Pro is part of it.
More Joins Pro stores will open around the country and be integrated into Masan’s ‘Mini mall’ retail points together with WinMart+, Phuc Long, Techcombank, Reddi, and a pharmaceutical brand.
To mark the opening, the shop is offering a 15 per cent discount on all orders worth VND100,000 and free delivery within a radius of five kilometres.Source: Vietnam News
