WinEco lettuce wins consumers in Korea

Table of Contents:

In July 2024, WinEco's 12th container of clean lettuce arrived in Korea. This is one of many shipments from Lac Duong farm exported to the Korean market. Up to now, WinEco has exported a total output of more than 90 tons of lettuce to Korea, opening up many potentials to bring WinEco clean vegetables to this new market.

With the trend of paying more attention to health, consumers are increasingly increasing their purchasing power for clean vegetable products, especially lettuce. Lettuce is currently the main product of WinEco in general and of Lac Duong high-tech farm in particular.

WinEco Lac Duong high-tech farm is located in Lac Duong district (Lam Dong), known as a large farm with an area of 393 hectares, with a care process that meets VietGAP standards, ensuring 4 No - 3 strict controls, carried out by a team of experienced technicians.

Not only popular on Vietnamese dinner tables, glass lettuce is also one of the vegetables that is very popular with consumers in Korea because of its natural sweet and crispy flavor and easy processing in many delicious dishes. According to data from the Vietnam Trade Office in Korea, there is still a lot of room for Vietnamese agricultural products to be exported to Korea, because this is the third largest export market of Vietnam with a turnover of 226 million USD (in 2023). This is a great opportunity to initially bring clean Vietnamese vegetables to the international market.

However, Korea is considered one of the most "difficult" countries and is extremely strict with export products. Accordingly, vegetable products exported to Korea must meet increasingly stringent requirements on quality, food hygiene and safety and quarantine measures. With a production process that meets VietGAP standards, WinEco farm can quickly meet these strict export standards.

Quality must be achieved, including the level of cleanliness, safety, and especially the appearance of the product. All of these factors are the strengths of WinEco Lac Duong farm thanks to the completely closed production and packaging process and the use of modern automated machinery and technology.

Lettuce at WinEco Lac Duong farm is taken care of by a team of skilled and experienced staff along with modern, automated machinery. WinEco Lettuce is always fresh, safe, meets 100% green-clean standards and is strictly controlled according to the 3 CONTROLS - 4 NO process.

Lettuce is produced in coconut fiber substrate, using drip irrigation method, ensuring quality from the beginning. Vegetables are grown in greenhouses, strictly ensuring weather, water, light conditions and no worries about pests.

After harvesting, the lettuce will be put into a cold room, packaged according to standards, and have a clear traceability label.

All lettuce plants at WinEco farm meet 4 NOs, which are: no use of genetically modified seeds (GMO); no use of growth stimulants; no use of pesticides not listed; no use of product preservatives.

The successful export of WinEco Clean Lettuce to the Korean market not only marks a new step forward for WinEco, but also contributes to making Vietnamese agricultural products stand out on the world vegetable map.

WinEco owns 14 farms with a total area of over 3,000 hectares across the country, supplying more than 3,000 tons of finished vegetables each month to more than 3,600 supermarkets and WinMart/WinMart+/WiN stores. WinEco's vegetable and fruit products all meet VietGAP, Organic and GlobalGAP standards when applying the Japanese self-growing process - a different production process when strictly implementing "3 controls" right from the beginning of production and "4 no's" at the output of the product. WinEco is currently the pioneer in providing clean agricultural products to the Vietnamese market for 8 consecutive years.
