On June 27, 2025, Masan Group, in partnership with Magnit Group - one of Russia’s leading retailers - officially inaugurated the ‘Vietnam Corner’, a dedicated shopping space featuring Vietnamese products at a flagship Magnit Extra hypermarket in Moscow.

Designed to bring Russian consumers closer to Vietnam’s high-quality products and vibrant culinary culture, Vietnam Corner showcases over 150 unique Vietnamese SKUs, including fresh fruits (pineapple, mango, passion fruit, mangosteen, dragon fruit, lychee), dried fruits, ready-to-eat meals, spices, tea, and coffee from beloved brands such as Omachi, CHIN-SU, Nam Ngư, Vinacafé, and Phúc Long. These products are crafted in Vietnam with passion, precision, and a spirit of innovation-proudly representing the essence of Vietnamese cuisine.

The grand opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Dang Minh Khoi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Russian Federation, alongside executives from Masan Group, Magnit Group, and local partners.

With a tropical-themed display, Vietnam Corner not only enhances product accessibility but also introduces a deeper cultural experience. Beyond this dedicated section, Vietnamese products are also being integrated into Magnit’s broader distribution network. For example, Omachi noodles will soon be available in most Magnit convenience stores and supermarkets, while canned and dried fruits will be distributed across Magnit Family and Magnit Extra stores. Magnit has also announced plans to expand the product lineup and replicate the Vietnam Corner model across its nationwide network.

The launch event drew significant attention from Moscow locals with a vibrant program of cultural and culinary experiences. Activities included live cooking demonstrations of traditional Vietnamese dishes such as fresh spring rolls and beef pho by professional chefs, cultural performances featuring traditional Vietnamese music and dance, and special giveaways including iconic conical hats for shoppers.

Vietnam Corner is more than just a retail initiative-it offers Russian consumers an immersive opportunity to explore the rich cultural and culinary heritage of Vietnam, strengthening cross-cultural ties and mutual understanding between the two countries.
At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Tân Kỷ, Export Business Director of Masan Consumer (a member of Masan Group), shared: "Beyond introducing distinctive Vietnamese products to Russian consumers, we believe Vietnam Corner serves as a cultural bridge-fostering greater understanding, connection, and friendship between the people of Vietnam and the Russian Federation."

Vietnam Corner follows the successful launch of Russia Corner at WinMart Royal City in Hanoi on June 12, 2025. This cultural exchange initiative, jointly launched by Masan and Magnit, introduced 170 SKUs from more than 30 Russian manufacturers. Customers were invited to immerse themselves in a truly Russian ambiance-savoring soft Blini pancakes, warming Samovar tea, authentic Russian vodka, and traditional handicrafts such as Matryoshka dolls. These imported products were carefully curated, officially imported, and offered at accessible prices-delivering an international retail and cultural experience right in the heart of Vietnam.
